Paintings focused on the people and places we carry with us. Finding new homes and stones to toss aside.  These paintings are the longing for connection with an untouched, and distant landscape. Relinquishing control that these places and relationships have remained unaltered. I gathered them when I relocated. They and I are forever changed because I took them with me.

Leah Junquera is a painter from the Adirondack park in upstate New York. She recently received her Masters from UNCG, and has stayed local to the Greensboro area. Junquera’s paintings focus on relationships through landscape.
