Community Small Work Show 2024

Call to Artists: GPS Juried Community Small Works Show

Greensboro Project Space is excited to announce our inaugural call to artists for our Juried Community Small Works Show 2024. There is no theme for this show, therefore we encourage exploration and expressing yourself through any way that ignites your passion for the arts. We are looking for works no larger than 20 x 16 inches to display in our gallery in downtown Greensboro. We are accepting both 2D and 3D works; this exhibition specifically cannot accommodate works that require media equipment. Everyone is welcome to apply. Individuals are allowed to submit up to 3 works of art for the show.

Submissions Open: February 2nd, 2024

Submissions Close: February 19th, 2024 (Artist will be notified no later than February 26th) 

 

 

Dates to be Mindful of:

Art Drop Off: March 2nd at Greensboro Project Space 2:30-4:30p @ GPS (for local/regional artists)

*Out of town artists who are mailing works must be postmarked by March 4th to be included in the show. Late arrivals will not be displayed.

*Artists who are shipping their work must include return postage, or their work will not be returned. 

*If you would like, you can insure your work for transport. Greensboro Project Space will not insure work for this exhibition.

Reception: March 15th, 6-8pm at Greensboro Project Space 

 

Art Pick Up: March 17th, 11:30am - 1pm (for local/regional artists)

*Mailed works will be mailed back the week of March 17th within 3-4 days.

 

Purchasing of Artwork

Purchasing of artwork is handled through the artist and 100% of the proceeds from work purchased will go to the artist. Greensboro Project Space does not take a percentage of sales.



Work Submission Considerations

2D + 3D works accepted

Framed and unframed accepted (we do not frame your works) 

This exhibition specifically cannot accommodate works that require media equipment

We are looking for works no larger than 20 x 16 inches (for those framed, this size includes the frame) 

For unframed works, please articulate installation preference on submission form in terms of hardware preferences ( magnets, push pins, t-pins/if we can puncture through the paper…)

Art must come with clear instructions for installation.

 *Note: not all preferences are guaranteed 



Exhibition Details:

Community Small Works Show 2024

Greensboro Project Space is a bridge between the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and the Greensboro community. Through this exhibition we explore the depth of creative intrigue, personal expression, and artistic liberation through submissions from our vibrant community. We encourage our community members to express themselves in any way, and encourage play and self expression with the hope of bringing people closer together through the power of art and making a space for respite. 

 

March 12th - 16th 2024 

Reception March 15th, 6-8p
