December 16th - 21st
Opening: December 16, 6:30pm – 8pm

Our superheroes may rise out of some sort of tragedy or need for support. They cheer us on, supply that major boost of power to energize us, and even cause us to transform, multiply, improve, or recuperate. The power they represent may be closer than we think.

In this exhibition, students and their families consider their own history and neighborhoods. What kind of superheroes are needed and why? Do they become a nemesis or a supportive sidekick? In short, to share their true power and their passions.

About the Artists Students and their families from The Center for New North Carolinians (CNNC) Community Centers program, supported by Emma Levrio, (Coordinator), UNCG students, volunteers, and the CNNC Community Center Book Club.

The CNNC promotes access and integration for immigrant and refugees in North Carolina by bridging newcomer populations with existing communities through direct service provision, research, and training. Find out more at cnnc.uncg.edu.
