Memory & Loneliness

School of Art MFA students Jill Beaton and Steisha Pintado

November 13th 6pm - 7:30pm

Jill and Steisha are both first year MFA students and while their use of media is different, Jill and Steisha find parallels of memory and loneliness in their work. Jill creates photographs and videos that center around the expectations of taking on the identity of being a mother. Steisha makes paintings and stop motion animations that focus on her experience of growing up in a religious cult and the loneliness that comes from being shunned.
