Love YOU. is all about reflection and self-love. The experience guides you on a journey of self-discovery and showcases the composure I’ve found through radical self-honesty. Read my diary. My private thoughts are exposed with hundreds of entries covering the walls. I invite you to follow my lead. Pick up a free journal and write to yourself. The title works are an immersive experience coupled with digital photography and collage.

The other featured digital photography collections explore the magic of illusion. With only minor retouching of light and shadow, simple objects become extraordinary. Perspective is everything.

About Janice Picconi
My story basically goes like this: After a performance career in NYC, I started a staffing firm that took off. The pandemic hit, and I came back to UNCG after a 14-year hiatus to finish my undergraduate degree. I was released from the rat race and finally have the brain space to make some art. Growing up in Pittsburgh and then Winston Salem, I journaled, crafted, sang, danced, and doodled but never could entirely communicate my feelings in the way I wanted to. I feel reborn, having become fluent in this language over the last 2 years. As a result, I’ve been accepted to pursue an MFA in Creative Film Producing at Columbia University this coming fall.

I’m proud of this work and have tremendous gratitude to the UNCG School of Art for including me, and to the School of Theatre for introducing me to costume design where I discovered for the 1st time in my life that I’m a visual artist.
