CITY MARKET
July 21st, 6pm - 8pm

http://www.gsocitymarket.com/
South End, 106 Barnhardt St, Greensboro, NC 27406

Among other artistic disciplines, Greensboro Project Space is interested in exploring a genre of art called Social Practice. Social
Practice is a process that focuses on social engagement and shared experiences, inviting collaboration with individuals, communities, and institutions in the creation of participatory art.

The City Market is a chance for us at GPS to promote our activities and to educate the public on different art practices. We are using free massages as a way to get people from the public to sit down, relax, and listen. During their massages we will give them a lesson on the varying histories of Social Practice. These will be pre-recorded audio lessons listened to on headphones.

Our teachers on Thursday, July 21st are Lee Walton, Adam Carlin, and Portland, OR based artist Lauren Moran.
