SOCIAL BODY- EXQUISITE IMAGINATION
Social Body- ExquisiteImagination brings together the work of artists from UNCG and Rowan-Cabarrus Community College
This assemblage constitutes an exquisite body of the imagination in the present moment.
An Exquisite Corpse is a surrealist game in which each participant takes turns writing or drawing on a sheet of paper, folding it to conceal their work, and passing it to the next player for a further contribution. It was a way to create collaborative compositions with surprising outcomes.
Considering the body in this time of the Coronavirus, a time marked by anxiety, upheaval and the unknown, marked by instances of racial violence and the response for social justice this exhibition explores the question: What does the (social) body look like and how does it respond?

Intimate Bodies, Intimate Voices
This short film seeks to embolden and embody intimate responses to extinction in this time of the coronavirus. We are suspended in a perpetual waiting period yet mourning what we once had and questioning what we may have lost forever.
