Patterns of the Everyday

The exhibition considers how everyone processes sudden change in their own way. Artists have a special method for expressing themselves: they turn to creativity. These works were all created by students during this time of a world pandemic; some used art to reflect their mood, others reflected on life outside of the quarantine. The works represent the students´wide range of responses  to this noteworthy time.  The participating artists are students from the Art Department at Rockingham Community College and the UNCG School of Art. Welcome to the Patterns of the Everyday.

The pandemic has really wiped me out. Since in-person appointments aren’t happening, I haven’t been able to see any mental health professionals in months. It seems like everyone wants to impose fear of the virus on me. Although I know covid-19 is obviously not a good thing, I feel like I’m currently a bigger danger to myself than the virus is. All I can really do about it is lie around and try not to die.
