Too Short is a film festival celebrating the time based work that normally is too short to be shown in more traditional short film festivals. Too Short welcomes video work that playtime is less than two minutes. Submit your animation tests, looping gifs, short video experiments, etc.


How to Submit Your Short

Submissions Deadline is April 22nd

Submission Rules

  • Video submission must be in a universally recognized size ratio format (ie. 720p, 1080p)
  • Gif submissions must have a minimum width of 500 px.
  • Videos and gifs (for looping media, after looping at least 3 times) must be between 3 seconds and two minutes.
  • Work must be created by the submitter. No submitting work that is not your own.
  • There is no limit to how many media pieces one person can submit
  • Not all submissions are certain to appear in the final showing.
  • Work created in collaboration is allowed for submission (State all parties involved)


How to Submit

  • Send the following information via a contact form on the Contact Page or Email to tooshortfilmfestival@gmail.com.
    • Name
    • Email
    • Title of piece(s)
    • Number of work submitted
    • File type (gif, mov, etc…)
    • File size
    • Year created
    • Brief description


A follow up email will be sent to you where you will submit your file in a google drive folder.
